[Brother Agatone]

A roped zealot tries to hold my arm and another tries to rip my horse hair plume helmet from my head. I shove my bolter into the gut of the zealot grasping my helm and blow his rib cage out, and then I throw the other into a crowd of enemies. Spotting a heavy weapon swivel around in the direction of a closer squad I toss a frag grenade into the throng. Blood and body parts fly up into the cold air as I jump into the fray and finish off what is left. My power maul swings left and right, each time felling an enemy with powerful blunt force.

Marcus had managed to fight his way into the palace with his new found brothers but he barely set foot inside when multiple blasts came from within knocking Marcus and his comrades to the ground the hundreds of zealots charged out of the darkness *vox transmission* "brothers i am retreating from the main gate, hundreds of the zealots are charging outside i require assistance" *interferance*

"Squad lets go we need to get out of here, the captain has ordered us to withdraw into the city."

"With pleasure sir." Kastriv turns to Icarus "Those snipers didn't have a line on us until we broke cover, right?" The Wolf nodded. "Good. Let's go." He picked himself up, kicking loose stone aside as he began falling back. "Requesting a fallback marker sir?" Kastriv voxed the Brother Captain.

"So it seems brother." Jerzo replieds casually , his expression unreadable behind his helmet. The apothecary came to his feet, lowering a hand to raise Icarus up." We'll need to find another means of entering the city and take down the building housing those shield generators." Jerzo hefted his powermaul over his shoulder, loading another clip into his bolt pistol.

Marcus regroups with the squad, his armour is heavily damaged and his battle helm has many scars and one of the eye lenses is cracked Marcus then looks at his brothers and asks"so brothers why have we been ordered to pull away from the palace is their something more important their by any chance?"

"It would appear that they have cut us of from the legion marcus, and since there is only 300 hundred of us and about acouple million fanatics still inside the city we should take out the sheild generators in order to recieve reinforcements"

Marcus removes his helmet annoyed with the static in the eye lense "i don't see how they could have cut us from the legion like they did i was inches away from storming that place with three other astartes (sigh) do we have any intense energy reading on the generators?"

"Generator readings show increased activity since our arrival. Troop movement also tells us that, as well as what we've seen personally, they've moved more to guard the generators. Clearly, we're not their best friends." Kastriv sighed as he removed his helm. "We need a new plan. Running in head first will only get us killed." He looked towards the building housing the generators. "We can take it, but..." He trailed off, turning to Icarus.
"Are you sure you're ok to fight Brother?"

"Do not worry about me brother i'll be fine" I lie to him for I know that my primary heart is a ruin. "We should draw the fanatics out so a squad can slip past the thousands guarding the generators and destroy them" (sighs) "weve also lost most of our vehicles, whats left of them will be needed to draw there heavy fire away. For all there mindless worship they have the tactical advantage as far as weaponry goes"

Marcus looks at his brothers "i could take some astartes and cause a distraction providing we have some spare grenades handy a squad of five of us could cause enough damage to make it seem their are more of us and whilst their moving away to us you can move in but the problem is the distraction squad may face heavy fire and if the plan fails we have no means to escape" Marcus looks at his stolen prize and picks up his battle helm then faced his brothers

Kastriv grinned. "You know that's a suicide mission. We'll have a thin window to get to safety in." he said as he reloaded idly. "But I'm in."

Marcus smiles behind his helm "Glad someone is mad enough to do this" marcus reloads his bolt pistol with his last clip

"Says the guy that suggested it." he smirked as he clapped Marcus on the shoulder. "I can tell this is going to be a special kind of fun."

"yes almost certain death and alot of bolter rounds being used up ..... my favorite type of suicide mission" chuckled Marcus "if no one else joins in this mission i suggest we move out as fast as possible"

" Negative on that. The captains calling the company officers together for this one, but as of right now the city's locked down and were cut off from reinforcements and fleet communications."

"I'd surgest sending the remaining razorback in with them so it is less of a suicide mission; but let us see if the officers have any better suicide missions in mind"

"well we can't wait long the zealots may find us and as siad before we are cut off from the legion were on limited time and numbers right now and my ammo is almost spent up"
