Ok so me and Ariocky are online and are going to kill some Orks as we all like killing Orks. All is fine. Once we get into the game it says Ariocky or I have the different version we checked and we are both on the same mod, same version with same DOW Engine.

So we decided to have a go without the new races mod. If we attempt to use the UA mod it closes Soulstorm. I can reopen it but that is all I can do. Nothing more. If I attempt to active the No New Races mod it closes again.

Any help on this?

There will be some strange file in the way causing issues. Did either of you have any DOW Mods installed before using the installer?

Well mine has nothing except the Mods from Project Dumbass. Ariocky might have some mods from before.

I will wait for Ariocky to say if he has any. Probably does....

I downloaded dark prophecy i think but i removed it and same result

Well mine also failed to change and I have no mods except Ultimate Apocalypse =P

Then I want you to use it on the P.Dumbass file that you downloaded and paste the following into the "Compare" box (it's the root MD5 from my computer).

What you're talking about is just a Soulstorm bug relating to mod swapping that's been there since before Winter Assault. The multi-player incompatibility will still be there, one of you has an incorrect install resulting from bad install or bad download. Hence the MD5 check

Well I doubt I could use my Soulstorm is messing up as an excuse to miss school. =P

Wouldn't mind if I could use that as an excuse though =P

Well if you point to your croch it may work but you have to do it right lol we must kill orks this day my khorne berzerkers are twitching more than usual

Well if you want to keep it fluffy put the team changing thing on but i would rather kill orks if im honest i will race you to daemonhood

Hey Cute Cru we both tried the solution you offered. Same as before. Got any other solutions or should we wait for a new update or something from the mod makes?

Did the MD5 numbers match for both of you? If so then you will have a whacky install, either of the mod or Soulstorm.

I would suggest you each try to multiplayer with someone else, whichever one of you doesn't work with a 3rd party is the one who has to revert to a virgin Soulstorm install
