"Well, Johten is anything besides normal." Thaes smirked as he looked up to the white tiger varghen. "I'm pretty sure being odinic also helped there too." He added with the smirk still there. For a brief moment, he could have sworn he heard Nocturne's voice. 'white tiger varghen... odinic berserker as well.... Jessica was the only thing even close to something like that.... And try to get some of that tigers D.N.A.' With a silent 'yes mother' Thaes shaked his head slightly before looking back over to Jessica, thoughts working themselves in the background. "He still wants to kill me, doesn't he? he asked her, knowing she would understand what he was asking.

She smiles.

 

"Probably....BUt he does it more out of show than actual desire anymore......Its like eating cookies...You can have them without milk you just dont."

 

Your mother comes over with some cool water and oputs it to her lips and she sips slowly.

 

 

"So.....Did yuour mother senmd you here?"

Thaes was silent for a moment befor answering the question Jessica asked. "More like I asked for leave after Johten found me and her saying yes." He said to her, telling her what acutally happened. He felt a twing of anxity of where that line of question might go to.  "What do you plan on doing once your condition is better?" he asked, curious to know. And to find out if there might be some time to talk to her before she goes without everyone present.

She grunts and sits up.

" don't do what she asked you thaes..... You'll be handing her a weapon you can't take back.
Johten looks at you both.

" she wants something from thaes?"

She nods.

" she wants a weapon they couldn't replicate after I left... And a weapon I won't give them... I'll be going to Cairo.... Hitting a human trafficking ring there ."

He didn't give much sign of expression on his face during the little exchange about nocturne. 'Something to think over later.' he thought to himself. "Oh well that sounds like fun." Thaes said, his tone saying anything but. "...When might you be leaving?" he asked somewhat hesitantly, his tone quieter then usually.

Jessica lays back on the chair.

Johten stands woozily"
What does your mother want brother?"

He gave a small sigh, his pale tail making small twitchy movements on the ground behind him. "Well at least it will give me a chance to try to talk to you later about something." he said to her without looking at her before having to look up at Johten. "Well, what she really wants is someone like her." He motioned to Jessica. "But I'm sure she, like anyone else, would be happy with anything that would give her an edge in the coming times." He told him. 'I'll just take a vial..much later...and then I will decide.' he reasoned to himself as he tried to mentally force himself from picking at things with his claws.

Jessica watches johten very carefully as he walks over to thaes and pushes waht looks like a vial of blood into his hand.

 

"Take it tovarish........If it will help in the coming days i will gladly give it."

'Can everyone hear my thoughts or something?' he thought for a moment, the number of coincidences too many. He examined the vial full of red fluid in his talons, still surprised it's even there. "....You didn't have to do this, you know that right?" he asked him without looking back up, still somewhat lost in the moment.

Jarvan looks at his brother who oly offers a smile.

 

"HAve to, and want too...Two different things comrade...If it will help somone live another day....I WIll do it."

 

Jessica coughs and motions at you.

 

'Thaes...Can we have some privacy...I want to talk to you...alone."

Thaes nodded to her as he stored the vial in the compact refrigerator unit along with the vial of Augustus's blood he still had in his possession. "Thank you Johten." he said to him before looking at everyone else in the room. "Can she and I have a few moments please?" He asked them, nodding over to the door of the room. 'At least I get the chance then.' he thought to himself now. Something told him that Kani would be able to hear it all though, being an archivist ghoul after all.

the room empties and soon enough, the door closes behind johten.

 

 

"Well old friend....Its been a long time."

[Armoured Priest]

"Yes, and for bad reasons too." He sighed as he rubbed the scales of his temple. Thaes was silent for a little while as he petted the sleeping Mr.teeth who he had place on his lap."......I didn't want to do it, I tried persuade that any benefit they wanted out of it would be very short termed, then I just started flat out refusing." He told her. "I'm surprised I didn't agree to do it after the first couple of bones broke. But I still don't know how he knew of the village and everyone here" He looked over to Jessica, his reptilian features reflecting the guilt he felt. But yet there was also confusion in his red eyes. "Why are you do you not hate me? Or even slightly angry?" he asked her.

jessica smiles, her hands delicately placed on her lap.

 

"There was nothing you couldve done different thaes..."

 

She looks at the window tiredly, her features cool and smoothe despite the room they were in.

 

"Waht they did to cain....To me...To all of us.....This was bigger than all of us.."

 

SHe smiels faintly.

 

"The only ones i really feel pity for...Are jacob and joeseph......Those poor boys....All i wanted for them was a simple life....School...Doctors or enforcers....Not to be the focus of some damnable weapon pprohject."

"I didn't know they were using your sons as well. I'm sorry." he said with a wide eyed surprise look. Thaes became silent again after finding out the last bit of information. He wasn't that good in normal situations, even with someone who he was familiar with like Jessica or Johten, and this was something completely different. But he did know he wanted to do something. "I don't suppose there is anything I can do from here on the islands to help you or cain is there?" he asked her. Thaes at least wanted to cripple Damion's swarm and push them off the islands before even thinking everyone here would be safe and possibly leave.

She smiles.

 

"youve saved me.....As for cain....Hes...Going to be alright....You need to focus on crippling damionsswarm thaes...And theres only one way for you to do that."

[Armoured Priest]

"And as usual, you know something I do not." he said with a tired smile. Even though help was not requested, thaes begun thinking of how to push bio production after winning and consolidating on this side of the world before being able to send a suitable force over to the states later on. He bowed his head motioned an open claw, asking her to go on.

"Damion is foolish..And proud....He managed to capture some pale eggs....Genetic blanks taken from the infection zone in china....If you can find waht makes them so easily modified , you can effectively mass produce any ghoul youd like.....Thats what you need to get a hand on ."

And like that a solution has presented itself. 'I could possibly even create variations of my own ghouls with these eggs.' he thought to himself. "I don't suppose you know where at least one of these eggs would be kept at, would you?" he asked, his curiosity more then just piqued. "Or this is probably the part I need to handle, yes?" He added, now adding his own luck to the equation.
