'Harvesters?......That sounds highly convenient to me right now.' he thought to himself. Thaes' eyes switched between the blades and the tigers as Kani went on. "Might I know how and why these blades influenced their genetic lineage in such a drastic way as to give them something similar to the Thor mutagen?" he asked now. This was were thaes felt more comfortable, gathering and exploring new information of a less personal nature.

"think of it...Like a consistent pulse. In one generation it wont have noticable effect.....but as the years go on, and genetic material is more and more saturated with it, it will evolve traits. Think of it like mutations from radioactive fallout."

"Without malignant mutations fallout would give as well I would hope?" Thaes asked, now wondering if he should go through a radiation scrub down, ones he felt compelled he had to do periodically after meetings with a certain associate before. He wasn't exactly a healthy specimen to begin with and he doubted anything akin to radiation poisoning would help much. "My next question would be if anyone here knows where this vault of mechanical units reside?" he asked the three of them.

Jarvan shrugs as Johten makes a simple" I don't know" gesture.

" I do not.... However of you give me some time I'm sure I can rifle through Johtens genetic memory and find it for you."

"I'm going to assume that it's safe for him right?" he asked Kani before looking over to Johten. "And only if your willing of course." he told him, wanting his consent about the idea of someone going straight down to their genetic code for memories. 'This could give me some time to go over the decision about sending this vial to mother  too.' he thought to himself as his clawed fingertips kept tapping against the refrigeration unit on his belt.

Kani nods, and johten sighs.

 

 

He sits beside the archivist who smiles.

 

"THjis will hurt...Alot."

 

before he could complain she jabs the tips of her fingers into johtens forearms as a thick black substance oozes intio the wound. Johtens eyes roll and he bgins to shake lightly as the archivist smiles.

 

'This will only tajke a bit....Go make yourself useful."

 

Kiani answers, waving you away.

"Why do I feel like I'm going to be hearing that a lot?" Thaes said to himself as he saw himself out the room for now. He walked back down the white hospital wall down to the door where Jessica was resting to check up on her and see if she was up yet. 'And after this.....I need to fine a reliable delivery service or something.' he thought to himself, deciding of what he wanted to do know as he reached the door.

you reach the door and jessica is sitting bolt upright, watching the door intently.

 

"hello thaes...." she smiles 

 

she smiles faintly, cocking her head.

 

"Why ....Do you have a vial of odinic blood on you?"

His pale red eyes where wide eye for a few moments, a little disturbed by her posture compared to her being tired earlier. "It's Johten's blood. He let me take a sample of it after the the transfusion attempt earlier." Thaes told her. "I'm...... still not sure as to what to do with it." he said taking a seat on the chair he sat in when he last spoke with her just a few minutes ago. He wanted to send it, he had a feeling everyone in this building would probably flay him alive now at this point if they heard. He didn't think of Nocturne like they did, he doesn't believe they would be screwed over in her plans.

jessica raises her hand and the blood lifts into the air, floating to her hand.

 

"Its a good idea to send this to Noct........She can use it to make more.....She cant control them.,..But theyll find their pupose on their own."

 

 

The blood begins to bubble as if being charged and she smiles.

 

"You need to be very catreful....Ill take this to somone who can get it to her....You need to be careful though."

"I'm.....ok I'm not going to beat around the bush, I was sure you would fry me for even mentioning my mother after all that happened like Krieg tried to slit my throat shortly after...you know. And that would have been perfectly fine and reasonable." He now explained since everything seemed to be in the open now. "But now you honestly want me to sent this to her? And why should careful? Besides the obvious reasons that I know right now." he asked her.

The tiger with dual blades.......He has done...terrible things....Horrible things...He has no qualm about ending a life... if he catches wind and this goes south..He wont be afraid to end you..I saw it in his stance."

 

 

YOu hear a door behind you, and the telltale hiss of it opening.

 

"Oh...Miss...Do tell how much you know about me.."

 

The charge fills the air as jessica begins to rise.  "berserker im not afraid of you.."

'Well that only makes one of us.' he thought to himself as every muscle in his body tensed in fear while he tried to turn slowly in his seat to face the familiar voice of Jarvan. "Jarvan, this isn't going to threaten the islands, or even johten." He first started off, hoping that would catch his attention more since that was something the tiger mentioned before. "Would you at least give me the chance to explain first, brother?" he asked. 'I've been away for too long, haven't I?' the thought crept into his head. Having two families and friends with an ocean in between, this as heard Burias once said, "Sucks a lot" '

Jarvans hand had been slowly moving to his blade when he stops, looking at thaes as if seeing him for the first time since he entered the room.

 

"Of course thaes.....I owqe you that much...Explain it."

Thaes swallowed back some bile that rose up due to his anxiety before he spoke. "Nocturne, the one I call mother from the states, is just as afraid of nightmare as the rest of us. I don't know what damian is doing, but I'm sure it will just help Nightmare in the long run. Nocturne is doing what she can to stop him, I'm dead sure of it." he said to the tiger. "Odinics are powerful, but they're also rare and birthrates for them have always been close to nil compared to other mutagen branches. Mother can make more of them, and they can help us against damian and others. The last thing I would ever do is put you, johten, and my mother here in any direct path of a threat." he explained. He was quiet for a few moments before he spoke again before the tiger did. "And I'm sorry about your father, I never heard any news till now. He was a good man, to the point of even letting something that just brings bad omens into your villiage." he said, his mood turning from anxious to somber.

Jarvans eyes narrow to pinpricks. His fur crackles ominously as he reaches out and touches the vial.

 

Instantly the blood boils and goes black, completyely useless to you.

 

"If thats what you wnat it for, the blood is useless to you.":

 

Jessica looks at you in indignant shock as she tries to stand but a casual stomp of jarvans foot sends a sharp botl through the floor and up jessicas leg, making her jolt back w3ith a grunt.

 

 

"YOu cant get any information from our blood...Two hours out of our bodies and it dies...The energy dies and it will just read as type o negative.... Think thaes why do you think our kind is so hard to replicate....We arent like her."

 

he jerks his head over at jessica who glares.

 

"hers is manmade...Manufactured ....A mimic. Ours is the natural state. The only way this energy can exist naturally in nature."

Thaes looked between Jarvan and Jessica for a few moments before speaking. "You two aren't going to get along well anytime soon are you?" he asked them fiddled with the vial in his hand. He slid it into a pocket for now, making a mental note to clean it out and sterilize it for future use. "And you only just met each other." he sighed.

"and it is that thinking that got father killed."

 

Johtens voice answewrs gruffly, making jarvan nearly jump out of his skin.

 

"Natural...Unnatural...It doesnt matter. There was a time where people like us existed only in dreams and fairy tales. Even if we look at it retrospectively we are all natural. We exist, we breathe and act. Bleed and die. Just becasue we occur naturally does not put us above her."

 

Gently johten sets down his massive cleaver, leaning agasint the wall. Jarvans ears flatten and he looks down. 

 

"im..."

 

Johten shakes his head.

 "dont brother, Thaes needs to know."

 

Johten tosses thaes a small box.

 

"There you go brother...a keepsake of fathers.......He left it to you before he left for the dark hunt."

He caught the box awkwardly, trying to not drop it, and examined the container. "Wait, he left something for me? But why?" he wondered a loud, obviously confused and trying to figure out what Johten meant by 'Thaes needs to know.' He slowly lifted the lid off and peered inside to see what laid with in it.

It's mechanical looking, almost as if it's a part to sonething.

" do you remember the monster father hunted? The one that ultimately killed him ? He trapped it.... And he wants you to study it."
