"Hm, you don't seem to be a normal ghoul with this kind of body temperature. But at least now I know you react to electrical stimuli." Theas sighed before putting away the thermal imaging device. "Now, either you and I can carry a more civil conversation and have your cooperation. Or you can....talk with my brothers, and I pull out your organs for examination afterwards. What say you?" he asked. If his only memory of the thing before was any clue, is that he hope it had a primal enough self perservation drive and will chose the former option now after seeing just one of the tiger's wrath, not both his and jarvan's along with pudge.

Bjarl hisses, his body steaming slightly, and he looks atround the room as if slightly confused. "What in the gods name..."

 

He cocks his head, cracking his neck.

 

"What am i doing here.......Boy...What....What day of the week is it.."

 

Jarvan and johtn look at each other confusedly.

 

"Its...Wednesday.."

 

Bjarl hisses. "I slept a whole week! That BASTARD DAMIAN"

 

He snarls and strains agaisnt the cage, snarling and spitting ominously.

"....Not even Burias had these kind of mood swings." Thaes said to himself as he watched the long limbed organism suddenly become violent. "Why would you want to kill damien for oversleeping a week?" he asked Bjarl, keeping a good distance incase it tries to grab him in a fit of rage. 'I thought damien would have a better control over his own than this.' he thought to himself.

Bjarl hisses, slashing sat the bars with his claws ineffectually.

 

"I have to protect the tribes....He told me id jsut sleep long enough to make sure everyhting would be ok..How long was i out....Is everyone ok?"

 

Johtens eyes slowly open.\

 

"YOure the shadow protector? The protector left these lands over 30 years ago.."

 

At this bjarls eyes open and he bellows in rage."WHAT"

Thaes eyes grew wide. "He didn't force you or even persuade, he tricked you." Thaes said with sudden realization. Thaes pulled out a couple of devices, speaking as he did. "For thirty years you became what everyone feared, and loathe, can't forget that, doing Daimen's bidding." he said as he set a device "But why is the influence now receding? What chang...." he stopped himself short before looking at Johten. "The shock.....it must have affected whatever damien has done to you, but for how long?" he said before he picked up a device he had on the ground, a electric field detector, and making johten step away so his presence would mess the readings. "My question to you is why would you ever make a deal with him? As far as I remember he detastes anything that isn't himself." he asked.

the readings show what you suspect. The ice cold feeling was slowly receding, but it wouldnt stay that way for long. Right before your eyes you can see whatever things damien used, trying to retake bjarls system .

"If we are talking about the humans here on this side of the ocean, no for officially she only leads the american branch of oh shit, across the pacific Johten. Even then the people barely listen to her authority, something I bet you would know now a days. Everything here falls under daimen's control in one form or another." he said. "And when you fell to Daimen's control, he's been using you to terrorize everyone, and I mean everyone, as far as I've been told. He altered your mind somehow without making you into a ghoul." he told him. "Now it's returning, there must be a permanent way of stopping it." he said as he watched the feed on the device. He puts it down and heads over to the structures of the old oh shit labs, getting johten and jarvan to follow him. "Johten if he starts reverting, shock him." he told him clearly. "You two, we're looking for a huge cylinder shaped device with a hole big enough for a person to fit into" he described to them before searching himself. "Please tell me this facility had a mri scan machine, that should let us see into his cranium without an operation." he said.

johten nods and leans gaisnt the cage as jarvan and pudge move beside you.

 

as you trundle through the labs pudge grunts.

 

"is this it?"

 

he growls, slapping the side of a massive mri machine.

 

In the other room you hear a loud screech and the smell of bruning fills the air as jothen can be heard.

 

"He got growly...SO i shovcked him."

"I SAID SHOCK HIM, NOT KILL HIM GOD DAMN IT!" He shouted out the window at Johten before ducking back inside. "Yes, that's it exactly, you two go Johten drag Bjarl in hear, I"m going to get this thing ready." he said going over to the console, hoping it still had power.

Johten huffs as jarvan roills his eyes.

 

"YOu didnt think this out out too well did you....."

 

He strikes the machines power supply with a powerful charge, waking the machine up with a low humm.

 

"That should work...I think."

"I'm sorry but I'm working with what I can get. And I hope you didn't fry any of the more delicate circuitry." Thaes said as he gave the machine a once over to be sure. "Now, lay him down on the tray and slid it in. If we can fix him sooner then later, its less headaches for everyone." He explained as he made sure the machine was properly calibrated before turning on the imaging screen.

You hear the cage opened and soon enough the two tigers and pudge come into the room , guiding the inprisoned beast with menacing prods.

They quickly bolt him down and slide him into the machine as Johten grunts.
" now what."

"Well now it's my turn." Thaes said as he typed on the keyboard of the MRI console. He set it to do a Neuroimaging scan of Bjarl's brain and brain stem. "Hopefully we can see something obvious if it's some form of tampering of his nervous system. Although that will mean we need to find a surgery room in order to preform a cranial or spinal operation." Thaes explained, hoping to find more clues with the scan.

near the heart you can see a writhing mass of maggot like growths. It wraps around the brainstem and seems to be tightening as jarven cocks his head.

 

"That........mass around his brain stem..."

"Spinal surgery it is...." Thaes whispered to himself as he eyed that writhing image in front of him. "Not exactly subtly there are we Damien. One of you go fine a room with an operating table, it'll be long, and should have a lot of handheld tools on tables and such." he told them as he kept watch of the growth. 'wonder if I can find a specimen containment unit.' he thought to himself.

Johten walks away and kicks a nearby door open with sickening force, sending the door tumbling into the dusty room.

 

"YOu mean like this one?"

 

Bjarl hisses, as if the maggons around his spine were casuing him discomfort.

 

"Can we do something about this quickly.....The urge to really hurt you is hard to resist like this..."

"Get in line behind everyone else I know." Thaes grumbled under his breath before giving the room a quick once over. "Bring him to the table and strap him down, I'm going to look for something to put him under." he told them before he began shuffling through the supplies in the room for sedatives or even a anesthesia equipment set that was still usable.

he is quickly strapped down and in the room you hear a loud agonized shout .

 

you turn around and see johten gripping the beasts face and a violent arc of electicity . bjarl stiffens and screams before passing out and slumping weakly

"I guess that will do..." Thaes sighed to himself as he began pulling out the needed tools for the surgery. Sterilizing both the scalpel and the location on the back of Bjarl where he would need to make the first incision, Thaes set up a tray on wheels next to him with a large transparent container next to an assortment of tools and instruments. "Now, for the fun part." he said with sincerity. He began first cut in order to make an opening and use the retractor to keep the skin and flesh in place for the first part of the procedure.

johten sits in a nearby chair as the skin of the beast fights you, resisting your machinations as joten chuckles.
