"It's been a running theme in my life, doubt that's going to change anytime soon." Thaes hissed under his breath as, he put aside the scapel. "who ever has one, combat knife." he said with a outstreched hand toward them, waiting for one of them to place one or something similar.

JArvan pulls one from his belt and twirls it.

 

'it has a diomand blade...It should make short work of that things hide friend."

 

Pudge winces.

 

'Im squeamish with things like this..."

"You can stand just outside of the door if you want, this might take awhile." Thaes said as he took a moment to feel the blade. "Not really meant for this but it should do at least." He said to himself as he retried his attempt for an incision and spreader mechanism.

jarvan leaves and pudge watches intently.

 

"Did you learn all this....at school?"

 

he asks curiously.

 

'i never got to go to one.."

"Well, at first I self taught myself. There was a library at the village Johten and Jarvan lived when we were children, even had a working computer as well. After some tinkering though. Then there was some schooling after I was picked up and went to the U.S. by Ho Siht. Though, Nocture guided most of the teachings from that point on." Thaes explained as he procedded with inserting the retractor to keep the resistant skin in place. Thaes stopped for a moment and looked up to pudge. "Do....do you want to go to school?" he asked, his turn to be curious now before going back to the surgery, using the forceps to move tissue in his search for the mass surrounding Bjarl's spine.

the mass is like a tunmor, coiled and gri;pping around the organs, but it is covered in numerous eye like orfices.

 

"Yea...I kinda do....Father said books are for the weak...Id really like to learnm how to read.."

"Why the hell would you need eyes if you're going to be inside of your host?" Thaes thought to himself aloud as the multiple eyes of the organ now glared at him. It seemed to had tendril like hold on most of the visible organs, not just the spinal column like he thought it would be. "Father is also content in letting things go to ruin, but that's a talk for another time. I could try to teach you, would take some time but I think even mom would be willing to help." He said to his biological brother as his mind concocted an idea. "Johten or Jarvan, can one of you step up for a moment please?" he asked the tigers as he picked up a rod like instrument in one hand and wrapping a towel around the handle of one of the forceps.

Jarvan comes over with a raised eyebrow .

" da brother? What is wrong?"

He asks as he looks inside the opened cavity.

" vhat in the fuck is that?"

"That would be the cause of many of this island's problems, hopefully." Thaes said before handing him the rod. "And I need to test something if we want to get it all out of him....so what I'm saying is shock the shit out of it." He told him bluntly as he readied himself to extract the organism when it was weakened and put it in the containment vessel. At least that was his plan.

jarvans fist clenches, and the rod begins to hum and he pokes it.

 

Boith the parasite and the host scream in pain, failing madly as the parasite visibly retracts, moving away from the rod to the next side of the cavity as the tiger says.

 

"Again?"

"Stubborn little bastard..." Thaes grumbled to himself. What he had hoped based on earlier interactions the electrical current would stun the organism, instead it only made it move elsewhere. Simply cutting the tendrils seemed like a bad idea as well, with the number of them and how violently it reacted to being shocked. "No, looks like I was wrong. Some one find me some sort of sedative, even if it's rated for large animals." he said to the rest of them as he kept his attention to the parasite. "

Jarvan shocks it again, and it lunges from the cavity at your face, a gaping maw of razor sharp teeth extendded as a massive bolt of electricity is launched from the doorway, and johtnes eyes crackle with power.

 

"Beast..."

Given the situation he has been founding himself recently over the last couple of days, one would think it was forgivable for Thaes to jump as violently as he had to the sudden attack at his face from the parasite and subsequent bolt of lighting hitting it. "T-thank you Johten..." he said, gathering himself as fast as he could, red eyes still blinking after getting blinded. He looked at the remains of the parasite, see if it was even worth putting it into the containment vessel or if it's just ash now. Also to see if it was still a threat..

it twitches on the floor, still alive as Johten steps on it to keep it down.

 

"It isnt dead..YOu can salavage it if youd like or i can kill it."

 

He watches his brother with a guarded smile.

 

"YOur choice."

"If it's still linked with Damien in some way, we can gain more from salvaging it than frying it." Thaes said as he readied the specimen container. "Not to mention dead tissue is not as workable as living samples would." he reasoned.

johten picks it up and it falls the parasite and drops it into the box as the wounded beast on the table grunts.

 

"Its been so long since ive thought without this fog...."

 

he winces as he looks at his chest.

 

"close this up?"

"What? Oh right, right." Thaes said quickly after his attention was torn away from the parasite and back to Bjarl. Grabbing the needed suture kit before looking over him. "Since no one found any anesthesia, this might pinch a little." he warned before he began starting stitching the incision back closed.

The beast growls as johten watches it, and bjarl smiles.

 

"Last time i saw you boy....YOu were hiding in a tree......hiding from the headhunter tribes yes?

[Armoured Priest]

"You...remember that?" He asked, being reminded of when he was recently exiled from his home and had the most terrifying night of his life just by being near something. "I was just trying not to be on the jungle floor at night and be eaten, then I saw the party down below, and you..." Thaes said, trailing off. "I had always assumed it was Malcor's hunting group." he said, referring to Johten's and Jarvan's father.

Johten raises his eyebrow.

 

"Father didnt hunt with a group like that...He took the shadow hunters in the shadows.."

 

Jarvan comes over and crouches.

"He hated noise...YOu were probably being hunted by cannibals.:

 

Bjarl smiles and nods.

 

"Yes....I handled them...its why they never came again."
