As you chase after the the rest of the squad in the distance you could see the battle raging on from the other Zaku 2 squad as they were barely holding there position as the Saber fish hadn't notice you yet as they seemed per-occupied as then out of the corner of your Zaku's Camera saber fish was making a run on a Zaku as it seemed to miss but when it turned you could see that its wing's were black and a white symbol of a Raven was painted on it

"Jack do we attack now or do we wait to get closer" said Emily as she seemed a bit jumpy as she and everyone else new about the Federation Ace that was on the field

Jack's Zaku checked the magazine of the machine gun as he spoke. "I think you already know what we need to do." He simply said. "Gun them down." he told them. He zaku leveled the machine gun at the ace and opened fire.

Your shots soon hit home and the Ace's Saber fish soon take's damage as it soon goes off course and retreats in the direction it had just came but soon no explosion did happened as it seemed to escape your view

"I think it got away Jack" said Rick as he had his machine gun ready for combat as Emily was speechless as then the darkness of space was then light up with the explosions of Saber fish as the Zaku's scored direct hits as only 4 saber fish were left as Rick then looked to Emily's Zaku

"go Emily I'm to banged up for combat" said Rick as he chuckled as then you can hear Emily sighed

"Jack sir can you please watch him as we don't need him getting killed" said Emily as she then boosted off towards the fight aiming to kill something else as rick then shouted

"hey I'm a commanding officer" as you could hear somewhat humor in his voice

"He left? Well that was dissappointing." Jack remarked after the ace saberfish limped away. His zaku looked over to Rick's zaku. "You do seemed pretty banged up rick, probably best to let them kill the last of the saberfish and then go for thetransport ships." He reasoned.

"yea" as you hear from Rick as he stood silent as he moved away from the battle as then started to move towards the Dolores

"I'm heading back to the Dolores I think our allies just took care of the last of them" said Rick as the Zaku's from the Adeteus shot down the last of the saber fish as then a radio started come online

"Dorloes flight team are you there" said Captain Nomen as he waited for a response

Jacks flips on his comm unit. "We hear you sir, come in over." He replied to the captain, stayinf alert for anything that might try to pop up and shoot at him.

"you are all ordered to return to the ship we have done enough damage to the enemy in the allotted amount of time that we've been given so fall back to the ship this mission is complete" said Captain Nomen as he then went silent as then you could hear Emily

"But sir the Ace got away what about him and then there's still another federation supply ship as well" said Emily as Nomen then spoke

"we'll let another team handle that situation as it is for now were ordered to appear on the front line tomorrow for the final day of the operation...you all did well today" Captain Nomen then finished as he then went silent once again as Emily seemed to had gone quiet and slowly floated back to Dolores with Leo and Scott leaving you behind

"Well, there is always next time I suppose." Jack said disappointed as he began piloting the Zaku back to the Dolores. "Let's go Rick and get your suit back up to health there." he said to him as he moved.

"yea" said Rick as the remaining Zaku 2's spread out back towards there ships that they launch from as it seemed your unit was the only one with no causalities as soon your suits soon land back in the hanger and the crew of the ship was working silently as Dingo was waiting in front of your suit like always

Jack got out of his mobile suit after it docked into it's resting spot of the hanger bay. "Hey Dingo, heard anything lately?" he asked him, wondering what happened while they were out in the field.

"well other then that this operation was entirely up to specs its alright" said Dingo with a frown as he looked up to your Zaku and then to Rick's as he then sighed

"Well it seems the Kid is having a problem in bringing his suit back in one piece but hey it gives us something do then" Dingo then added as he scratched the back of his head

"Yea, I'm just glad he only got some scratches, could have easily gotten worse." Jack sighed as he looked at Rick's Zaku 2. "I guess I leave you to it then?" he asked, pretty sure Dingo will be busy now.

"yea pretty much but you better rest up since who knows when that ace will be back or what were gonna have to fight tomorrow" said Dingo as he started to walk towards Rick's Zaku as Rick getting out of it and medic teams were checking him for injury

Jack sighed as he goes to rick. "Don't tell me you got hit too?" he said as he got near him and the medical team looking him over.

Rick looks at you for a moment

"No no there were just checking me over encase i did but I made it out with out a scratch' said Rick as he then looked back towards his machine

"nut I can't say the same for the Zaku though" Rick then added as he sighed and the medic's begin to move away and out of the hanger as soon Emily leaves her Zaku and starts coming towards both you and Rick

"Rick are you alright" said Emily in a worried tone as rick turned to her as he start to calm her down a bit

Jack stayed there and listened to the too as he looked up to the damaged Zaku 2 and back to them, waiting to see how they thought of the operation they just went through with the supply ships and the saberfish ace.

After Rick manage to calm Emily down she then looked straight at you

"Sir I mean ah Jack that was great work you did out there in taking down that Ace pilot" said Emily as she smiled as Rick then boasted

"hell it5 would have been me that would have taken down that Ace if the old man here didn't steal all the fun" said rick as he laugh a bit

He smiled a bit at emily. "Well thank you emily, although I didn't exactly take him down, or would even have the chance to if I didn't have you guys around to help." he said to her. He looked to Rick. "And hey, the ace is still floating around, maybe next time yea?" he said with a bit of a chuckle.

As Emily smiled softly she nodded as the Rick chuckled

"yea well in this war we got your back old man so next time we'll take out that Ace together" said Rick as he continued to chuckled as he smiled as Emily gave Rick a small glare

"do you have to keep insulting the commanding officer like that" said Emily as Rick then said

"what no its just a name" said Rick as they broke out into another playful argument amongst each other as you watched

Jack sighed and shook his head with a smile as he watched the two go at it. "I think this might be something I'll just have to accept." he said to himself with a little chuckle as leaned against the nearby wall to wait on them.
