"is was more like my dad's choice" said Rick as he seemed to be down trodden look but forced a smile onto his face

"it doesn't matter I'm sure I'll be fine...see yea later Jack" replied Rick as he moved past the captain and saluted and moved towards the elevator as the captain walked up to you

"it seems like this crew is going to be livid isn't it" said Nomen as he looked up at the Yellow Zaku and sighed a bit as he then focused back to Jack

"Jack I'm here for one purpose...to congratulate you and reward you as well" Nomen then added

He saluted to the captain. "I seen worse squads and thank you sir. What kind of reward could I possibly be getting though?" he asked curious as to what the captain meant.

"you and a few other pilots who complete all there task have been put forward onto piloting the newer version of the Zaku...which is called the Zaku 2" said Captain Nomen as he looked back up to your Zaku

"But only if you and the other pilots can survive the first operation is when it will be delivered to you" as Nomen then looked back at Jack

"you be given a great honer by the Zabi Family themselves" said Nomen as he turned his back and went tot he elevator but turned back for a moment

"so go get some rest were going to be at side one in a day and a half" Nomen finally added as he entered the elevator and the doors closed leaving you with your mobile suit

"A Zaku two? That sounds quiet nice actually." he said to himself. He head for the elevator, thinking about what the war might have else in store for him. "Wonder if I can actually make it to ace. Guess time will tell he shrugged to himself.

Two days have passed....

The Dolores and a large part of the Zeon fleet have reached side 1 meeting the Federation forces head on

Jack was sleeping in his quarter's when a siren went off waking him from his sleep

"red alert Red alert this is not a drill and pilots to the hanger bay and prep for launch I repeat..." said Captain Nomen as you see your Pilot suit on a rack waiting for you as Jack sat on his bed

Jack grabbed his pilot suit and puts it on quickly. "Looks like the fun start now." He said to himself as he sprints for the hanger bay to his mobile suit.

As Jack enters the hanger bay he could see Rick in his space suit with his helmet on as he stared up at his Green Zaku as then then looked to his left and waved you over

"Jack come on we have to hurry the other three have already launched" Rick shouted as he jumped into his Zaku as it then powered up

He moves toward the open cockpit of his mobile suit and jumps in the seat. "Well then let's hurry up." He said with a smile as he slide on the helmet and had the chest piece move back down as he turn on the Zaku and prepped it for launch. "Petty officer third class jack dandy, launching." He announced and then launched.

As you launch out of the Dolores Rick is right behind you as the first thing you see is a giant Colony with Federation ships defending it as Zeon ships have already started trading fire.....the battle has seem to already have began

"Jack Rick can you hear me this is Captain Nomen I have your mission specs right now" said Nomen

"Loud and clear captain" Rick commented as he then went silent

"Copy commander, what are our objectives sir?" He spoke into the comm unit and then waited for the response. He watched the tracer fire between the ships. 'So many targets, yet so little time.' he thought to himself.

"you will not be involved in the main fighting as the the Dolores as been given the task to prevent fleet from being Flanked" said Captain Nomen as Rick then said

"so what were on clean up duty or covering there asses" said Rick as he chuckled as you could hear Nomen let out a sigh

"No I need you two to move out ahead to the L5 area there using the asteroid field as cover i want you to flesh them out" Captain Nomen then finished as a cross-hair Marker appeared on screen as in pointing you in the direction

"Well be right behind you at a distance for support understood" Captain Nomen then added as he went silent as Rick then pipped up

"Come on Jack lets have some fun" said Rick as he kept pace with your Zaku

"Just be a bit careful, the targets can actually kill back now." he said to rick before he piloted his Zaku to the point the captain gave them.

Yea...I know" said Rick as he followed you to the target as the asteroid field soon came up on your screen as it was closing in

"Jack...I'll support you alright...I don't think I'll be able to do well on my own" said Rick as on your screen you could see him shaking a bit

"Hey, just try to keep a straight head on, you'll get throught this." he said to Rick. The last thing he needs is someone freaking out in a mobile suit right behind him.

As the words soon left your mouth the warning sound went off in your mobile suits as three Federation Fighter's approached your position

"Jack Saber fish are approaching" shouted Rick as he pulled his suit back and started opening fire at the saber fish with his Zaku Machine gun

"See." he said matter of factly to Rick's surprise. Jack's Zaku brought up the machine gun and fired a burst at one of the incoming Saberfish.

Another Saber fish explodes into colors as the last one approach's you at high speeds as it fires Missiles

"God damn it." He sighed as he piloted his mobile suit toward some of the asteroids to either lose the missiles or have them collide with the rocks.

The missile dip and crashed into the asteroid as it went up in a explosions as small rocks would ding of your suit as your Radio starts up

"Jack you alright I lost you in the asteroid field" said Rick as he the went silent as he waited for an answer from you

"Ah, I'm fine. There some scratches that need to be buffed out though." he said as he moved the suit out of cover and back toward rick's suit.
