with some of the mental and insane things that get posted on this site I can see a "WTF" button being useful and personally would love to see it. I mean c'mon, 40k theamed rap battles = WTF. Asian Lady Eldar = WTF. The majority of things posted by Dx = WTF. You get the idea.

I agree. The button should give WTF points, but I propose it be called the " I wash my hands of this weirdness" button.

He just got promoted to manager at work so he's busy as hell getting that in order. The button itself is beyond my level of coding experience because it requires knowledge of databases.

It'll go on the wishlist, but I cannot make any eta promises

Personally I do not see the point of it. Seems like something that will be used once or twice then the hype will go down. Your call Cru but that is just my opinion on it. Also how much would it cost for the button.

And this isn't a button that launches a nuke it goes WTF? I guess. You could easily just say that....

You're right DX, t's kinda a gimmick; but it's a small thing that'll entertain some people and make the site cooler for them. If it's possible we'll definitely have a look at doing it

How about the mod function the RoosterTeeth forums used to have, like the option to vote up:

+Zing!
+Cool
And vote down posts:
-WTF?
-Flamebait
-Noob

Although an exact copy of this would more than likely be misused like the Rep points we used to use.

I could see too much abuse to that system via trolling. I came up with the idea for the WTF button because I reckon it would go with the lighthearted attitude of the majority of threads made on this site.

Also a fault with that system could be that as you said it may be misused. I could see that being misused in personal grudges or abused in the way the CF's abused the report button just before they were kicked.

Fuzzy's onto it. RoosterTeeth can run that system because they have 2 groups on that site, staff and users. We have multiple: staff, casual members, DAs, NLs etc etc. That level of complexity makes some things impractical, while offering up new unique possibilities.

as I say its just an idea and i dont see how a "WTF" button could be abused or used to troll. The only problem I could see is if someone gets over sensitive and belives someone is using it to attemp to undermine their post.
