Dammit as soon as I get a laptop I will likely have to start eve now! Ok suggestions on what I should get to be able to play this and other decent games without setting myself on fire?

The requirements are not that high, it's a 10 year old game that gets expanded (free expansion) every year. Graphics get upped every expansion, but the legacy (aka scumbag graphics mode) still persists

I can give you a 21 day free trial CoTW, and you're welcome to join us all in the GWRS Corp. We'll teach you how to play the way you want to (eg PVP, PVE, Mining, Industry etc etc) and help you get the things you need to do it (eg Ships)

That offer goes for anyone who wants to play, we can arrange to get you an extended free trial and ingame mentoring; starting EVE can be quite daunting solo because it's so fucking massive and deep.
