Also this thread is educational as I have learnt why you never be a dick to Catty. It will result in various insults and some kind of weapon stabbing you, shooting you, burning you, crushing you, cutting you and just generally killing you....

I am used to all of them...

Heh. I must say, Catty got allot of attention in this thread all of a sudden (she will not be pleased)..

All of you who know Catty, knows that she is a girl who plays games. Nothing else. Never made a big deal out of it, and probably never will. She is a shy person, who doesn't make much sound of herself in real life, but online she can come out of her shell, and actually enjoy gaming with other people. Something that was impossible for her before, but thanks to her joining the Raven Guard, she has grown confident enough to actually go out on GWRS and on Xbox Live to actually joke around, be herself, and have a good time.

I think that's why she got so pissed at this guy. Sure, there is always some fuckhead that acts that way when they figure out that she is a girl, but she can take that. But when they start harassing her and brand her as a, pardon my made-up-french, gamerwhore, she really takes offence.

I for one, understands her. And I can say this much, she was gentle and kind to that guy in comparison to what I would have done..

An online identity often comes with an alternative personality. For example I'm definitely different in real life, and I'm sure DX isn't a Slaaneshi gangbanger in real life (at least I hope he's not...).

It allows people to develop their personality in a technically safer environment without fear of many of the real life consequences.
