ok maybe im stupid but im still confused how does a tournament normally run?

Every tournament has been different. Usually they require chapters to face off in rounds of between 5 and 8 players. We've also has solo and double tournaments

I think what Crucias meant in his example was that each team in the tournament was made of players from different chapters, so

Team One: white scar, blood angel, space wolf, etc
Team Two: Night Lord, yoWorld Eater, Alpha Legion, etc.

Yeah, but as I said that was just an example I pulled out of thin air to show what sort of thing could have a minimum 8 player requirement.

i never actually thought of that one lol the only problem i can see with that is time zone confusion but there is a solution! strict time lines! ill work it out.
