His steps carried him past many busy menials, and he could smell on them the oil and sweat of their tasks, but mixed with that was the mingled aroma of fear and awe. Fafnir knew that to a mortal a Space Marine was something to be beholden, but he could not help but scowl at the negative effect a moment of awe might have an such an important mission. He fought down the urge to snarl at those whose sight lingered on him too long, but thought better of it. Deciding instead to return to the hanger and await the signal to depart in quiet prayer and contemplation.

Walking about the ship he ignored the stairs he received, it was nothing new. He walked with his helm attached to his hip, his patrician features clear to everyone. His long blond hair flowed to his shoulders like a true Lions mane. His face looked young, no signs of injuries marred his features, the only sign of his age were the two silver studs above his right eye. In his last squad an old White Scar had said he looked to young and pretty to be so deadly. He was the first marine outside his Chapter that Liam could call a friend, more then that a Brother.
He was every bit the knight he had been raised to be. He grew up on Elysium III, a Death World. His father was a Lord that held massive lands, and led his own group of knights that fought to keep the world safe. This was to be his life, until the Angels came. The stories had always been told of the Golden knights baring the symbol of the Lion descending from the heavens to pluck the chosen. Liam was one of the chosen, he flourished in the new role quickly becoming a squad leader for the other neophytes. As time went he showed skill in melee, till he was chosen by Captain Saul to be his Champion.
Arriving at the Armory he discovered it empty, he went about a final inspection of his weapons before departing to the main hanger.

Looked to the librarian as he spoke. "As you say my lord, what would you ask to know?" He said calmly as he moves towards him.
"I like to know you name Guardsman, mine is Grimaldus and please do not address me as lord, im only a servant in the Emperor services" said with a calm tone, "i will like to know besides your name, your abilities in combat, i want to know why were you chosen for this mission"

It had been a complete surprise when his lord asked him to come and assist the inquisiton on this hunt, but like any brother , he nodded silently and left.
Reaching into his satcheel he pulls out a mince pie large enough to feed four guardsmen, and breaks it in two. "the pie , as promised" he laughed, moving a long strand of hair from his face, " the one comfort i have of titan.....the food is nothing more than bio gruel....but the pies....the pies are worth braving the warp for

As he strode to the hanger doors Magron noticed a crew-member struggling to lift and close a maintenance hatch. The hatch slipped a little from the crewman's' hands and before he let go Magron grabbed it and lifted it up. "May I help you?"
The crewman nodded his head and replied. "Yes my Lord, thank you."
Magron lifted and closed the hatch for the crewman. He smiled and said. "You're welcome, ask for help next time. We do not need injuries before the mission begins!" With that Magron stepped through the hanger door and glanced around. He noticed a few of the Space Marines and the guardsman before settling down to run final checks over his armor, activate his iron halo and test it, and wait for the mission to be underway.

"Brother Lion, I am sorry that I was called away so suddenly. I hope all has found you well." He paused a moment. "I will admit some oddity seems to be at work amidst our numbers." As he spoke he spied Romulus. "Oh and I see we have our pilot already, that is good."

Eying the wolfs beard, Liam scratches his own chin, 'Your accent is thick Wolf, so I know not if you call me by my name or simply Lion, either is acceptable, though my name is Liam, Champion of the former second Company, yours is Fafnir correct.' He said with a smirk.

"Guardsman, is all prepared for our departure? I would not have us held up by lax protocols."

Romulus nodded behind his mask as Grimaldus spoke. "I am Romulus, born of Krieg. As to your other questions, its hard to say why i was chosen most of my mission have been long sieges or stuck in trenches. As for my combat abilities, proficient with a rife as well as explosives. Also proficient in close combat if need be." he says as he shifts a bit. "This is not a mission i am used to sieges an trench warfare do not compare. But i will handle anything thrown my way and adapt as needed." he pauses a moment to think.
He begins to speak again then heard another voice address him so he stops to see the Wolf Priest approach.
"She's not of Krieg my lord." speaking of the ship they are on. "So i know not her protocols. Though.." glancing around at the other guardsmen about who are getting things prepared. "I would say these men have things underway ahead of schedule." he said with a calm voice his eyes looking the Wolf over behind his mask.
He respects and see the Space Marines as any guardsmen, but has always hated they way some of them look down upon his fellow guardsmen. As a man of Krieg he would fight and die as readily as any of them if not more so, as Krieg still owes debt to the god emperor for their for fathers betrayal.
Unsure if his words came out wrong he pauses a moment to hear any response. He was never one to get to know those he fought with, as a man of Krieg we are expected to Fight and Die, never retreat, never flinch in the face of danger. And to many good men died and died to fast for one to get to know or to be to close to.
