Gunfire rakes the line as you and your comrades, the last remnants of ho sihts fallen manticore company held the line against your former comrades.

Your entrenched line was barely holding after the assault and as the machinegun fell quiet, so did the world.

Colonel Richard Emerson , thereasonbyour company defected stumbles out of the ditch, his face tired as he stumbles over.

" men... Rank up on me..."

Asura imediatly lowers his rifle and begins stumbeling toward the colonel. The World was compleatly red his Eyes had not yet reajusted from the battle. as he walked up to where his allies were assembeling he noticed a few comrades staring at him as his eyes turned back to there natural colour. He dismissed this and stood queitly awaiting his superiour to adress him and the other renegades

The colonel sighs.

" we lost alot of men... Ho siht refuses to let up on is lads."

He sits and motions for you over.

" asura... Are you all right lad?"

Asura smiles and begins walking toward the colonel "im fine i had a close call with a stray round but it only glanced my leg, the only things on my mind is when these bastards will just get the message and screw off and how much ammo we have." when Asura gets to the colonel he offers him his hand to help him up "we will win this, all of us are gathered here because of the ideas we all share and we have bled for those ideas with commitment like that how can we lose?

The colonel looks at you with a grave look." Asura.. My boy I give you credit .. But take a look around you."


You look around and take in the full scope of the destroyed camp,

" they are better armed, better trained... They are the only military in this shattered world boy... We are fighting a losing battle here."

He sighs and cracks his neck.

" we have one or two battles left in us.... If we want a chance in hell we need to get a hand on some weapons."

Asura looks blankly at the battle field "where would we get the weapons if we scavange the corpses at night we could get some more ammo but if we take some ordernance from the enemy or at least intercept their orders we will have a chance" Asura looks at his comrades faces and seeing exaustion but a small glimmer of hope

The men begin to scavenge as your commander sighs.

" there are two options actually.... We can go appeal to the war saints for pardon ... Or we can raid an old world arms pit."

Asura smiles "commander you give me the order and I will lead a team to the old facillity anything but going back to them bastards what will the maximum risk be if we get in there?

He shrugs.

" the risk is bad... But if we hit hard and fast we can get an upper hand."

( ariok, war saints are different then ho siht , though you wouldn't have known dont he afraid to ask for clarification.)

Asura shouldered his rifle "wait these war saints just how are they connected to ho ciht?" Asura clearly was wondering where he heard the name before but he could not place what the name was ascociated with

"they are the only standing goverment left besides ho siht...And they blatantly oppose them.....They dislike mutants like purifiers but gladly take in new recruits."

Asura smiled at the enlightenment "well that seems like the easier option and now I know who they are I say we give it a try" Asura then looks over the battle field "ho ciht will probably be back soon better we go to them before they get here"

Your men scavenge what they can and soon you are on the move.

The wasteland is harsh and unforgiving, the vicious heat beating down on you as you and your men move.

Soon in the distance you see a huge tower, an eagle marking hanging from a huge flag blows in the wind as you see a sign saying.

" dusk sanctuary."

Asura reads the sign twice and turns to the rest of his men "well might as well go in i suppose" he then turns to the colonel "sir is this the place were looking for? if its not i would still like to go in to get out of this heat"

A Lumbering figure approaches you from the forest.

It's huge, a massive humanoid figure similar to a man but encased on a hard metal shell blocks your path and a small hooded figure slides off of its shoulder.

" state your buisness dead lander ."

He growls looking at you

Asura turns around his rifle shouldered "we are looking for the war saints head quatres, we are renegades from ho ciht is this the place?" Asura felt his head spin as he felt heat exaustion coming but he kept his rifle level

" this is our hq yes, if you'd like I can bring you in but you will have to check all of your weapons and the like at the doors.

He motions with his finger to follow.

" we can bring you to the garrison commander from there and you can state your buisness.

Asura nods and lowers his rifle and begins to follow the man knowing his supirior would have gone in anyway a question pops into Asuras mind and he siad it out loud without meaning to "where the hell did you get that thing?" was the only words h could think of at the time wasting no energy on politness.
