For those who haven't checked the Facebook or Twitter feeds, there was a massive outage at the datafarm in Rorchester where our server is hosted; it affected thousands of customers so we didn't suffer alone ~^

Everything is back up and running so you can stop panicking and suffering withdrawal symptoms!

May as well necro this thread because it's not locked yet (2 week timer!).

So we had about an hours downtime today because the turkeys who run our hosting company forgot to check the "yes they renewed their subscription" button. So I got a "Server Expired" email halfway through Eclipse (Space Colonisation and Warfare board game), grabbed out the tablet and started hurling abuse at the tech support team.

I have a thing that tells me when the site goes down, and then when it comes back. We have a 99.7% uptime since I started monitoring back in December. That's 99.7% of your life that we can drain from you...

... and in JC's case that's 100% of his life

Cru, it is true. I would recommend leaving where ever you are and staring at the sky but I have been told you're in upsidedownyland so it is probably dark and in the future. You might see a different type of orb though. I believe people have started to call it a "Moon".

Some things I understand are that Deceiver of the Gods is an album which makes you want to just kill everyone. Literally pick up an axe and kill everyone. Ok no that is With Oden On Our Side especially with Valhalla Awaits Me because simply Oden On Our Side is one of the most incredible albums. EVER. Come to think of it only have a few more days before I am off to get Deceiver of the Gods and literally blow my brains out!

I also understand that cheese comes from milk which can come from Goats, Cows, Humans and you know basically all mammals!

Well this is the year 2013 and we aren't speaking Latin so this is Earth and the Moon is the Moon. I understand 40K terms for Sol System just choose to see them as they are. Moon is the moon and Earth is Earth.

annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd we're back again. Seems their tech support just renabled the server and saw it was working so went "aww geez, it's working now, guess it's fixed herpaderpaderp!"

Seriously, Pony randomly clicking buttons would be more effective that the three idiots I've dealt with in the last 28 hours.

I was assured by a supervisor the problem was eradicated for good, guess we'll find out at 6am GMT tomorrow!
