[Armoured Priest]

Burias snapped out of the staring contest he was having with cain's weapons and looked at cain. "Well, this already sounds fun. What did the reports say?" he asked as he stood and waited in attention with the ak resting on the sling across his shoulder.

Cain leads you into the forest slowly, his hands hidden by his heavy black cloak.

"Puppets....Puppets have been stealing and attacking from neighboring village...I think it just may be some ghouls or something...But a couple children have gone missing...We have to investigate it."

[Armoured Priest]

"Kids as well? Ja, this we definetly needs to look into this." he said, a edge of bitterness to his tone at the idea of what might be happening. "Hm, puppets?.....like dolls bruder?" he asked somewhat hesitantly, wanting to be sure what he means as he follows him.

[Thugren]

cain shrugs as he leads you into the woods.

"I heard some folk legends a few years ago.....Says a doctor came here as a refuygee...Made dolls."

He leads you through the woods easily, his steps never making a sound.

"says shes blind..."

Burias tires to follow as silently as he could like cain, being more quiet now after Cain's training regime during the winter they were in. "I am guessing she was not born blind if she was able to become a doctor, Ja?" he asked as he moved, getting interested in the story cain mentioned.

You move from cover to cover, cain stopping and giving you a harsh ,look each time you step on a twig or rustle a bush.


"i herard some stories.....I dont know if they are true...well see."

cain said bluntly as they come upon a cliff face overlooking a basin.

Cains eyes narrow as the faint scent of blood hits his nose, the town is in ruin, the bodies piled high in the town square.

"I think it might be more true then we first thought bruder." he says quietly to him, keeping a hand on his Ak as he views the carnage of the town. "Going in?" he asked, knowing they were but just like asking anyways.

[Thugren]

cain shakes his head.

"were going to skirt tyhe town, stalk the woods and see if we can get a sight on anything in there first...Then we run in."

cain jumps down the cliff face and drags you with him, making you land hard on your knees.

"you keep your eyes open you hear me?"

he growls, closing his suits ear holes and focusing on his optics

He nodded, knowing he wouldn't hear him now, as he adjusted the vision filters to make sure they were all working properly before setting it back to normal. A brief check through the h.u.d. system of his combat gasmask and he was off to follow cain around the outskirts of the ghost town, wondering what else they might see.

Cain moves like a ghost. Moving from cover to cover.

You see figures milling about listlessly in the town and at first you dismiss them as ghouls.


As you draw closer you see that the figures aren't human at all, but patchwork dolls make of what looks like rucksack. They gorge on the flesh of the townsfolk like animals, their arms tipped with wicked claws or rusted hooks.

Buiras looks at sight and was rather confused by the burlap cloth skin that the things had along with they'er metal weapons at the end of thier appendages. He looks over to his brother and clicks quietly into the commset in his gasmask to cain as he held up an open palm while holding the Ak in the other hand, a gesture of asking to go ahead and play with some fire with these things.

cain shakes his head, motioning to a exposed sewer pipe he begins making his way over to it, waiting for you at the entrance.

Burias readjusted his grip on his assault rifle as he goes to follow cain to the open section of sewer pipe. He flicks on the low light level fliter on his combat gasmask as he goes in first, trying to slip in quietly and make sure it was clear.

you manage to get past and into the pipe just in time as the beasts from above drop a half chewed toorso into the outlet behind you.

cain looks at you nd you hear his suit click open.

"burias.....This is real bad.."

"You think?" Burias asked him quietly looking at the chewed on body. "Those reports about it being puppets seem alot more dead on then we thought." he said, referring to the appereance of the things above. "If they are like this, that means they have to be made somewhere, Ja?" he suggested to cain after a moment of thought, remember the part of the reports about some victims being abducted.

Cain sighs.

"if we go in we risk having to fight them.."

as he speaks you hear a scream above and cain winces.

"or we can leave this area and keep pacing the town."

[Armoured Priest]

Burias looked up through the hole and back to Cain. "Flashburn and breach?" he asked him, a ball of flame rolling around in his free hand, glowing much brighter than one of his normal fireballs. One of his colt .45 was in his other hand for he wanted to dispatch many of them as he could while they were still blind.

cain nods and he sets a charge on the sewer cover.

"BREACH"

the cover explodes upward and cain leaps up, leading you without a word.


five of those puppets are gorging on the remains of a horse.

they turn and you notice their organs roiling under the burlap.

"burias......light me up..."

he growls, making two hand scythes as he cracks his neck.

[Armoured Priest]

With a quick nod, Burias tries to pour his pyromancy into Cain's scythe's blades to light the blades of the weapons aflame as a serpent made of the brighter flame from earlier slither out from Burias and to the group of the crude doll looking ghouls to hop into the air and blind them. "flash out." he warned in advance.

you hear a click and cain lunges forward.

the ghouls meet him, only slightly dazed by the attack and they engage cain in a brutal melle.

four are barely kept at bay by his attacks, but two morem, looking like large butcher ghouls are lumbering toward him, rusted cleavers glistening
