[Thugren]

You find a pond, deep and cold but arachnid watche it warily...


" something is wrong with this pool.."

He growls poiting to a steady stream of bubbles over inthe center of the pond

"Hmmm." Ghiest said to himself. He slithered back away from the edge of the pool a little further, gesturing Arachnus to do the same. When he reach a distance that satisified him, he flicks a rock with the end of his tail to launch it into the pool.

[Thugren]

A huge maw slaps closed and a massive beast surfaces.

It's mouth is easily a swimming pool in length and filled with mucky razor sharp teeth. Two reptilian legs grip the shoreline a the beast pulls itself up.

It is huge, at least the size of a juvenile flesheap it turns toward te omniarch a and growls snapping its jaws hungrily.

"Well, suddenly I'm not that thirsty." Ghiest said aloud after the aquatic predator made itself known. He slithered back some more, staying far from the snapping jaws of the reptile. "Don't tell me you went feral?" he asked it, wondering if it would understand at this point. He was betting that it was the crocodile omniarch, since it was too large to be one of the normal versions.

[Thugren]

The beast snarls and lunges at you at breakneck speed.

Arachnid lunges between you as the beast and grips the beasts upper and lowers jaws in his claws.

" abathur!"

He growls , his arms straining fronte effort to keep te beasts jaws from consuming him,

"Wake up!"

The memory hits you, though not an omniarch abathur had been instrumental to keeping the humans from getting to the hive, he and his kin waited like punjabi traps, taking the humans by the handful like assassins .

A single tear formed in arachnuses eyes a he slammed the beast sidelong letting it crash Ito a tree

"Brother hold his jaws closed and pin him." He told Arachnus as he slithers cautiously forward. Ghiest had a few ideas going through his head. Either he was going to try to talk to the reptile and possible bring it back, or try something to stabilize Abathur. If not, Gheist would at least try to give him a painless release.

abathur lunges again and arachnus slams him down, wrapping his massive arms around the thrashing beasts maw.

on its back you happen to see a large tumor, it glows unanatturally in the light as arachnus raises a brow.

"Da fuck...Is that.."

"Not sure, but I bet that it needs to come out." Ghiest said as he raised a pair of the scything talons. "Looks like I get to be a surgeon!" he said with a twisted grin of fangs. He goes to cut open the growth and extract the weird....thing in Abathur's back.

Your claws bite deep and you feel something squirm.

A horrible screech rips through the air as you see a node ghoul. (A ghoul made by hive eyestalks.)

it looks like a human child but its black eyes look up at you as you tear the protective flesh away from its cacoon.

"Oh....well....huh." Ghiest some what sputtered as he saw the thing screaming in the giant crocodile, the last thing he expected to see. "Yea....you need to come out." He said as he goes to remove the now annoying little creature with his talons.

Out grunts and looks at you..

"Ah, I see that you are back with us now. Had to fix you a little." Ghiest said with a fanged smirk as he scrapped his talons clean of the viscera of the aborted...thingy. "So, gonna calm down and not try to eat us Abathur?" he asks the reptile now as tucked his arms back to his person.

He laughs as arachnus lets him go.

"ya...its been a while ..How is mother? I havent seen you two in weeks!"

The smirk on Ghiest's face quickly faded away. "Abathur.....it's been centuries." he told the crocodile seriously. "And we don't know how mother is because we don't know where she even is. Which is why we plan on going to visit the mountain king." he explained what he hoped to be thier next course of action now. "Also waking up to a feral hive node didn't help us at all." he growled to himself.

abathur looks at you quizzically as arachnus grunts.

"stories for later gheist."

he lifts the crocadile onto his back for ease of movement as he begins to walk.

"so....That wasnt just a nightmare.."

abathur breathes fearfully as he is carried.

"shit has gone bad eh gheist?"

"Eh, more or less I think." he said to him, tilting a claw back and forth as he spoke. "We only been awake for a few hours so that doesn't help." He added with annoyed hiss as slither with the other two as they continued on their journey now. "You ok though? You said something about a nightmare?" he asked the crocodile now, wondering what he's been going through as a host to the parasitic thing earlier.

He nods.

" there's sonething bigger than momma.... More dangerous and angry.."

"We can always rely on you for saying uplifting things can't we?" Ghiest said as he took in what he said. "....Did you see it or, well what happened?" he asked, hoping for a more clear picture other than 'big' and 'scary'. He could already feel his scales tingle at the implications of what Abathur was saying.

It looks like a human..... But it's older.... Ancient .."

Arachnuses looks at a heavy stone trail and sighs.

" goddamnit.... Doesn't anyone ear of ground fens anymore?"

He sets abathur down to walk and grumbles I. Annoyance.

Ghiest's mandiables clicked as he looked up the imposing landscape. "Because everyone has their own preferences for their homes. Now come on, we are not going to get this over with any sooner if we just stand around down here." Ghies said as he started slithering up the stone path, not really liking the idea himself.
