arachnus growls and follows, following his brother up the imposing landscape.

Halfway up a scorpuion walks into the road and looks up at both of them.

"about time you two lugs got here!"

"Well, a good day to you as well." Ghiest hissed sarcasticlly to the little arthropod creature. "We'er here aren't we? How about we keep going and you fill us in, we still have no idea what the hell is going on now of days." he said to it as his claws flex to stretch in habit. He wasnt' used to being in this kind of altitude and he didn't really like the pressure change.

arachnus crouches low and picks up the tiny arachnid and it looks at you,

"It isnt polite to keep a lady waiting...'

Arachnus raises an eyebrow.

"what happenecd to Dekalon?"

The scorpion fidgets.

"He was..Kileld by humans...His daughter took up his role."

His hiss was one of anger now, as some scales on his hide bristled. "Damn shaved apes...." he said to himself. He took a deep breath and his fangs retracted back into the gums. He was getting tired of the repeating pattern. "Then lets keep moving, this isn't exactly an easy route." he said to them as he began slithering back onto the trail.

the scorpion crawls up arachnuses arm.

"THey went to war here.."

He peeps as you rech the top and look down into a massive basin. The wrecks of humantanks litter the valley, and the ancient carapace of the stinger beasts lay in broken heaps, charred black by the sun

"I can see...." he said quietly as he saw the age old battlefield below them. Ghiest was slient for a moment as he processed that this scene is probably played out multiple times around the world with the other patriarchs. He went beyond anger, now he was simply getting depressed. "How much further?" he asked the scorpion on arachnus, not turning to look at it just yet.

in the distance you see a lone figure slithering up the road.

a single woman, but she radiates a plpable sense of power.

she stops before you, looking at both of you before lowering her eyes to the ground.

"Great fathers,,...YOu do me an honor coming here."

Once more, if he had brows instead of chitinous plates on his head, they would have been raised. "You don't have to do that..." He told her as he looked down to her, slightly uncomfortable at the respect that was shown. He lowered his torso to where he was eye leveled with her's. "I take that you are Dekalon's daughter?" he asked.

she nods, watchign the road you had come from.

"you asll have human forms....Please switch tio them...The humans patrol here often....I cannot let them see you like this..THey will be up in arms in an instant

Ghiest sighed deeply for a moment. "It's been awhile, and I don't like being so...small...and squishy....and without scales" He mumbled a little before returning to his normal posture. Already feeling his inner organs changing, he grimanced as the metamorphisis started.

Even as a human arachnus is massive, towering over the tiny scorpion mistress. he is built solid, like a slab of granite.

"Trust me, you're not the only one." Ghiest sighed before popping his human spine. In his human state, he was not nearly as imposing as his brother, as usual. Much taller than most humans and just as lanky, his pale form can pass for human. Even if a little disturbing looking with larger than usual grin of teeth. "So, now we can be told what we missed the last few centuries yes?" he asked.

she nods, handing you both a tattered cloak.

"come with me...yoyu can ask any question you like."

she turns and begins to walk as abathur chuckles.

"look im pink and easily squished....God i hate this."

He wrapped the cloaked around him as he grunted. "I have legs now.....how do you all deal with these things?" He said to Arachnus as he followed the scorpion mistress, he gait was awkward at first but smoothed out soon. "Alright, my first question would be is just how bad is everything right now?" he asked her, hoping to have a better picture as to what is going on currently.

she looks at you sidelong.

"in the years since youve slept the world has devolved..Noctourne has driven man under her thumb....THe patriarchs are hunted like game beasts and we have no way to fight back becasue of your sleep. Even Tomian has gone into hiding."

"Tomian too? Napalm lizard? This is just getting sad now." Ghiest said as he shook his head, not really wanting to believe that it is as bad as it really is. The part about him sleeping during this stung him the most. He shoves the feeling aside for now as he continued his questions to the scorpion mistress. "But where Freya then? What happened to mother during all these years?" he asked now.

the scoprion queen flinches.

"Mother has been...Gone a very long time. Noctourne captured her...Its only recently that One of her shadows turned on her...Argonauts child set her free."

His hands flexed when he heard the part of nocturne capturing mother but relaxed as the news continued. "Where is she now?" he asked the moment Dekalon's daughter finished. He wanted to know if his mother was safe more than anything else right now.

"she is with a good friend of ours,...His name is krieg, he is a powerful human that bwears argonaughts blessing.....and he also has an odd mutation that not even mother foresaw."

in the distance, a viallge can be seen with six or seven homes made into the ruins

"Argonaught? Been awhile since we seen him. I guess as long as mother is safe then." He said, his anxiety lessened now that he knew. With an actual brow now available, it was raised as he said his next question. "But what mutation does this human have that not even she wouldn't have predicted?" he asked. He saw the village a ways away and now wondered why it was so small.
